'Otter In Space' Is out today! by samuel123

Wonderful art in every detail. And the longer I look at it, the more I discover - this fact makes it ideal children's book illustration...

Water Goblin by asiapasek
Water Goblin
Water goblin ("wodnik") in Polish folk tales is ugly creature. He lives in deep dark water, often under a bridge, and he's always trying to catch someone and pull under water. This picture is water-goblin's portrait and it's also science experiment. What happens when you paint on waterproof surface? Well, the texture you get is of special grunge kind which works well for goblins. This is gouache on very smooth and slippery carton. It was originally back cover of a block of drawing paper.
Where's The Cat by asiapasek
Where's The Cat
"I don't know!". That's what I've been doing lately. I draw pictures to funny story now and this is first version of one of illustrations. It's more traditional art then not, but there are elements of digital edition - light from the window, yes. Wallpaper pattern, yes. And some details are enhanced, like eyes. All lovers of authentic watercolor, please forgive me and look somewhere else.
Jimmy Page for Michal by asiapasek
Jimmy Page for Michal
Michał is our good friends son, my godchild and he's 18 now. He's also a guitar player. Happy birthday, Michał!
The Real End of The World by asiapasek
The Real End of The World
Sometimes you look down into something dark, maybe deep water, and you think: what if there's no bottom down there... The picture is about this intriguing experience.  It's for :iconsharpenededge: contest about Dream World.

Hello! My name is Joanna, or in short form: Asia. I live in Jura Upland with my family, 2 dogs and an old mare; you can see her here, putting her head in the kitchen window, hoping to find some bread on the table.
Once upon a time I studied architecture, but instead of building houses I started to work as a graphic designer. I've cut out from background lots of businesswomen with laptops and I have modelled dozens of 3D logos. When we have moved to live in the country, my family and me, I have started to translate books about graphic software for a publishing house based in Silesia. In the meantime our two sons have grown big enough to take care of themselves, and I have used my free time to explore watercolor, ink, pencil and crayons. I don't mean I never did a drawing before, but now I've discovered I love to draw fairytale and fantasy scenes. This adventure lasts for quite a few years. My hobby slowly changed into a new job, as I have started to illustrate stories and poems for children. Now it's my main occupation - and I'm very happy about it!
