Pooh and his friends in an autumn evening, just like now; there's awfully cold and wet here and we have just lighted a fire in a fireplace first time this year. (It's an old house and this fireplace plus an old tile stove are the only heating system here, so this is not just for a luxury of watching flames!) Anyway for some reason I always draw Poohs when it's time to burn some wood.
Usually just pen and ink; when I don't want outlines to be too dominant, I take sepia ink and add some water. There are also thin markers (0,1 mm) with waterproof ink (I buy Faber-Castell). Comfortable, but they offer no possibility to dilute ink.
A lovely take on classic characters! I have tried to draw these characters before, and they never seemed to turn out (surprisingly hard!). I think you've really captured the characters in your own style.
thank you! of course the general idea of characters comes from Shephard original illustrations; it's just impossible to invent quite new Pooh or Piglet, don't you think? but if someone ever dares to do it, I'd like to see it
